Peer Leaders
WELCOME TO PEER LEADERS
8th Grade Only
Ms. Stickle and Mr. Murphy
The Peer Leadership Team is comprised of a group of student leaders who design and implement experiential leadership opportunities for all New Providence students. Peer Leaders provides various action-based opportunities for members of the Team to develop their leadership abilities. In addition, through their various roles on the Team, peer leaders continually develop and enhance their leadership skills. The Team welcomes upcoming 8th grade students to apply, if they have a desire to tap into their own leadership potential. Students submit an application and 2 teacher evaluations. These submissions are then used to choose the students who will serve on the Peer Leadership Team.
Throughout the year, the Peer Leader Team is responsible for the following:
- Running 7th grade orientation
- Assisting with back to school night
- Running the first MS dance of the year
- Promoting events like Red Ribbon Week
- Fundraising for Relay for Life
- Attending leadership courses
- Donating
- and more!
